Joel Erway, E.I.T. is a mechanical sales engineer, entreprenuer, and public speaker. He is the author of 30-Minute EIT – a minimalist guide to tackling the Fundamentals of Engineering exam. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2009 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology. As a member of the Niagara Frontier Chapter of ASHRAE, he sits on the Board of Governors and is the Chairman for the Young Engineers of ASHRAE committee. As chairman, his responsibilities are to establish a YEA presence to increase student membership from it’s current enrollment of zero through viral HVAC promotion and networking.
Joel has been creating public presentations for the promotion of the future of HVAC, specifically geared towards local young mechanical engineering students. He is a guest lecturer at the Rochester Institute of Technology and is targeting other universities such as the University of Rochester and the University of Buffalo. He is also the founder of HVACLive – an active blogging website for young engineers to see exactly what is involved with the process of HVAC design by blogging through each stage of the project from concept to construction.
